If you love cooking, religiously read glossy food magazines, The Good Food Guide and attend the farmers markets in your city, learning what is new and exciting in the food world; up until now you’ve probably had to go to professional cooking classes to gather or learn skills.
Professional cookery schools or classes can be a little formal, so if you are yearning for a little more warmth and hospitality, come try another way of learning how to cook while enjoying a great night out.
The classes take place in Annette's home in Dover Heights. Annette does classes herself and invites speciality guest chefs, home cooks and other passionate foodies to share their talents and help prepare delicious dishes. Each class has a different topic.
In the last quarter of 2010 guest enjoyed subjects such as: " Cheating in the Kitchen" - a how to prepare delicious food that does not take all day; "A feast from the Middle East" - by guest cook Anat Gamerov; "Entertaining for a crowd" - featuring new gourmet summer salads and other crowd stunners, "Healthy, Fresh and Zingy", and to end the year: "Let's Celebrate" with a food and drink night with a special wine tasting by Bellevue Hill's Danny and his team at Corkskrew Cellars.
Classes range from $75 a head with all food, wine, sparkling water and entertaining company included.
